Minimalistix is a trance project from Belgium consisting of members Dave Lambrechts, Janus De Decker, Johan Casters, Peter Bellaert and Steve Sidewinder.

The group was started by Bellaert (alias Brian Koner) who purchased his first synthesizer at the age of 18 and gained his first record deal in 1991. The group first gained mainstream recognition with the white label single, "Struggle for Pleasure" (remix of the 1983 Wim Mertens track) in Belgium dance clubs. In 2000 the track reached the top 10 of European radio dance tracks. Two of the group's singles reached the top 40 in the UK Close Cover peaking at #12 and Magic Fly (remix of Space's 1977 hit) at #36.

In Australia the band achieved success with 'Whistling Drive (aka Young Folks)'. An instantly recognizable as a cover of the Peter, Björn and John single "Young Folks" which featured Victoria Bergsman, formerly of The Concretes, and was a top 20 hit in the UK Singles Chart. It was also named NME's second best track of 2006, beaten only by "Over and Over" by Hot Chip. In Australia it was voted number 16 in the annual Triple J Hottest 100 for 2006.
