Fresh from his success with indie supergroup Mongrel, Jon McClure brings us his 2nd Reverend & The Makers studio album "A French Kiss In The Chaos"
The album is produced by Jagz Kooner (Primal Scream/Massive Attack/Garbage/Kasabian) and mixed by Dave Sardy (The Ting Tings/Oasis/LCD Soundsystem).
'Silence Is Talking' is the first single from the album released digitally on 19th June through Liberator Music/ Wall Of Sound. 'Silence Is Talking' rides a blissed out euphoric groove and looks set to become a huge anthem. The in-demand studio mixer Cenzo Townsend (U2 / New Order / Kaiser Chiefs / Snow Patrol) has also supplied a punchy 'A French Kiss In The Chaos' was recorded at Tony Visconti's legendary Dean Street studios where Bowie, T-Rex & U2 have all recorded classic material. It is released on the 31st July and is the follow up to the 2007 Top 5 UK album 'The State of Things' (which spawned several hit singles including 'Heavyweight Champion of the World' and 'He Said He Loved Me'). The album has unquestionable universal appeal and features 10 tracks covering topics such as global warming, Prozac and consumerism – but with a sense of optimism and positivity. Musically the new album embraces 60's psychedelia alongside a thoroughly modern and vibrant sound. 'A French Kiss In The Chaos' takes Reverend and the Makers musically leaps and bounds from their debut and is drenched in universal appeal.
Jon McClure (The Reverend) and the band will head out on tour throughout the summer in the UK, playing headline shows, festivals and are special guests to Oasis in the UK on several shows.
