Liberator Music was launched on the 8th March 2006 and is a collaboration between Michael Gudinski, Nick Dunshea and Vincent Donato.
Nick Dunshea was formally A & R director at Melbourne based Indie label Shock Records for 16 years, where Vincent was Group Finance Director.
Liberator is focused on licensing all styles of music from internation labels and acts for distribution in Australia and New Zealand.
Liberator plugs into the Liberation arm of the Mushroom Group for it's promo, sales and marketing functions and is based in the Melbourne office of The Mushroom Group of Companies. The Mushroom Group brings a larger resource to the table by making available its other business arms such as Frontier Touring Company and the Premier/Harbour national booking agency. Together with Mushroom Music Publishing, Australia Tour Merchandising, Mushroom Pictures/Television and Mushroom Interactive it brings together a formidable team to the Australian Music industry.
